The Nigerian Senate held a valedictory session in honour of deceased lawmaker representing Lagos East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Senator Adebayo Osinowo.
The valedictory session which held during Wednesday’s plenary with Senator Bayo Osinowo’s family and delegation of Lagos State Government in attendance was sequel to a motion sponsored by the Senate Leader, Senator Yahaya Abdullahi.
The Senate Delegation to Lagos State, led by Senate Majority Leader, Senator Abdullahi Yahaya had on Friday, 3rd July paid a Condolence to the family of Sen. Sikiru Adebayo Osinowo in his Lagos Residence.
In a session presided over by President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, lawmakers took turns to pay tribute to Senator Osinowo, who until his death represented Lagos East Senatorial District.
Also Contributing, Senator Solomon Adeola, said his stay at the Senate has been eventful, adding that he paid part of the price of the democracy we celebrate today.
In his concluding remarks, President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, said the Late Osinowo left a very deep impression that he was a friendly, jovial and unassuming person, even though he accomplished so much.
Until his death, he was a member of the All Progressives Congress, representing Lagos East Senatorial District and Chairman House Committee on Commerce, Industry and Investment in the Senate.
