Police authorities in Lagos have paraded suspected looters of Shoprite in the Lekki area of the State.
According to Police Area Commander of Shangotedo, Gbolahan Olugbemi, between September the third and fourth, a total of one hundred and twenty-five suspects had been arrested in connection with the attack on Shoprite with ninety per cent of the stolen goods recovered.
According to Olugbemi, one hundred and twelve of those arrested were found in possession of stolen items and had been charged to court.
Meanwhile, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, has said five thousand people lost their jobs in Lagos due to Xenophobia attack on the Ajah and Surulere Malls by hoodlums avenging the attacks on Nigerians in South Africa.
Governor Sanwo-Olu, who visited the attacked malls, assured business owners of safety and ordered security personnel to step up protection of all facilities so as to prevent them from further attacks.
