Lagos Government Holds Agricultural Stakeholders’ Engagement.

Lagos State Government will on Wednesday hold an Agricultural Stakeholders’ Engagement that would address the challenges and opportunities in the agricultural sector and prospect into the future with a view to developing a five-year road plan for the agricultural sector.

According to Commissioner for Agriculture, Prince Gbolahan Lawal, the need to hold the Engagement was informed by the need to sustain the existing efforts of government in the sector in ensuring food security bearing in mind the need to make Lagos State a twenty-first Century economy.

Lawal said ideas, technology and innovations that would take into consideration the day-to-day and evolving realities of farming, agricultural production and food consumption becomes imperative hence the need to hold the Engagement.
